New Head of Business Unit Edgebands

(Buttenwiesen, 23 January 2024) Antonio Cardona has been appointed as a new Head
of Business Unit Edgebands effective from 1 January 2024. Cardona will replace Fredy
Hiltmann, who announced in September 2023 his retirement from SURTECO.
Cardona is currently member of the Executive Committee of the Proadec Group and
Member of the Management Board of Proadec Brazil and Chapacinta Mexico both part
of SURTECO Group. He has worked internationally throughout his career including leading
the delivery of major international projects, and running operations and sales activities,
in Europe, Asia and North America. Hiltmann stepped down from his role last December.

Antonio Cardona will be based in Portugal and will report directly to Wolfgang Moyses,
SURTECO Group CEO.

Antonio Cardona is Portuguese, 50, has a degree in economics and an MBA in Financial
Management, Controlling and Audit. He comes from Proadec, a company of the
SURTECO Group where he has spent the last 19 years, the last 10 years as a Managing
Director. Before, he was at Corticeira Amorim-Indústria, SA in different strategic positions
in Portugal, USA, UK, and Japan.
