A high-quality apprenticeship and good future prospects. SURTECO GmbH focuses on the internal fostering of young talent – as confirmed in September with the enlistment of 34 new apprentices.

It is more than just the promise of subsequent full-time employment that makes SURTECO GmbH a sought-after employer. “The value we place on the experience of long-serving staff is also shown in the fact that we position young men and women alongside them, who can then benefit from the expertise gained over many years. We are now employing some of our staff in the third generation and exploit our full potential to provide young people in the region with a positive start into their working lives,” says Dieter Baumanns, CEO at SURTECO GmbH. At present, September 2019, a total of 106 apprentices are employed at SURTECO GmbH in Germany.

Buttenwiesen site:

In Buttenwiesen, 13 new apprentices are setting out on their vocational paths this year.

Training professions: Industrial Clerk, Media Technician Print, Process Technician for Plastics and Rubber Engineering, Industrial Mechanic, Electronics Technician, IT System Integration Specialist, Digital and Print Media Designer and dual courses of studies International Business (B.A.) and Industrial Engineering and Management (B.Eng.).

With a total of 39 apprentices, the ratio of apprentices to full-time employees at SURTECO GmbH’s Buttenwiesen site currently lies at the high level of 7.7 %.

Gladbeck site:

In Gladbeck, 14 apprentices are setting out on their vocational paths this year.

Training professions: Industrial Clerk, Process Technician for Plastics and Rubber Engineering, Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Tool Engineering Technician, dual courses of studies.

With a total of 43 apprentices, the ratio of apprentices to full-time employees at SURTECO GmbH’s Gladbeck site currently lies at 9 %, a high level and above the national average.

Sassenberg site:

In Sassenberg, seven new apprentices are setting out on their vocational paths this year.

Training professions: Media Technician Print, Machine and Plant Operator (Main focus Metal and Plastics Engineering), Process Technician for Plastics and Rubber Engineering, Industrial Mechanic (Maintenance), Industrial Electronics Technician, Industrial Clerk, IT System Integration Specialist, dual courses of study.

With a total of 24 apprentices, the ratio of apprentices to full-time employees at SURTECO GmbH’s Sassenberg site currently lies at the high level of 7.6 %.
