SURTECO welcomes 19 junior employees
Professional training started at SURTECO. 19 new trainees and dual students are starting their working life at SURTECO. Despite the Covid-19 Crisis the conmany-based professional training is fully continuing. At the company sites in Buttenwiesen, Sassenberg and Gladbeck, SURTECO provides training for one electronics technician for industrial engineering, six process mechanics for plastics and rubber technology, one mechatronics technician, one industrial mechanic, one media technologist (printing), two industrial engineers (dual studies), one dual student of business administration/industry and six industrial clerks.
The training year 2020 has been, and is still strongly influenced by the effects of the Covid-19 Crisis. The new challenges are enormous.
"However, we were able to continue our training activities without interruption. Thanks to the company hygiene concept and digital media, we developed solutions that enable a smooth education process," says Birgit Volmer, Head of Training at SURTECO.
The young professionals anticipate an in-house instruction with social distance, team trainings, digital workshops and an exchange of trainees within the German company sites. On their first working day, the young talents started a company rally in Buttenwiesen. They used a questionnaire to explore the premises. A godfather from the second or third training year is actively side by side with each new employee. With a joint workshop on "rights and obligations in training" and a subsequent company tour, the trainees of Gladbeck introduced their new colleagues. In Sassenberg, a culinary social gethering of the entire junior team took place.
As a recognized training company, SURTECO currently employs 82 trainees throughout Germany. The specialist for surface design and technology offers a varied apprenticeship with many exciting projects to young talents. SURTECO attaches great importance to independent work by simultaneously intense promotion.
We are looking forward to our new team-mates, which we may accompany in their training over the next 2 - 3.5 years.
