Edges made from PP
Polypropylene is mainly used in pipe extrusion and the packaging industry. For more than 20 years, the chlorine-free semi-crystalline plastic has also been increasingly used in the furniture industry because it is particularly impact-resistant and durable. It is also chlorine-free and can therefore be disposed of easily and without separation from the panel. Our special PP raw material recipe guarantees a long service life for milling and other cutting tools, which greatly simplifies further processing. PP edge bands can be used everywhere: in offices, kitchens and bathrooms, trade fair and shop fittings as well as contract furnishing.
Material properties at a glance:
- Especially long-lasting
- Impact- and scratch-resistant
- Resistant to heat and moisture
- Chlorine-free
- Easy to dispose of
- Ideal for radius processing
Production and processing
We produce our PP edges using an extrusion process and because we dye all plastics uniformly, the edges can be rounded off without any problems. Our process-friendly raw material recipe enables straight processing and curved furniture geometries. The coating of the back of the edges with a universal adhesive agent provides optimum adhesion to the substrate, regardless of whether you are working with hot-melt adhesives or solvent welding.
